Sneaker Loaders: Fresh Kicks and Laces Uploaded Daily

The 2nd round of the NBA playoffs are well on their way with the LA Lakers doing extremely well in the Western Conference. Kobe Bryant has been hearing the “MVP” chant for a while now, but it was just on May 6th that it was officially announced that Kobe had finally won the League’s Most Valuable Player award after 12 years. For this occasion, Nike has released a special “MVP” Player Edition of the Zoom Kobe III’s. Kobe has been seen wearing these kicks for the first 2 games of the Lakers vs. Jazz series. These sneakers sport the Lakers’ signature colors of yellow and purple on a white base, and were made with a translucent shoe box. These PEs are not scheduled for any release.

Allegedly part of the latest Euro Champ Pack of sneakers from Nike inspired by various soccer nations, this latest Nike Dunk High draws reference to the infamous samba boys of Brazil in their iconic yellow/green colorway. But obvious geographical differences all but ensures that Brazil won’t be on hand for Euro 2008, co-hosted by Austria and Switzerland. This particular Brazilian inspired release seems like a suitable contemporary update to previous Brazil Dunks seen in the past. Available now at LTD-Online.

A solid brick in San Francisco’s sneaker foundation, Harputs and their 30 year history made them an ideal candidate for adidas’ 25th anniversary of the Forum Mid. Referencing colors symbolic of the American Basketball Association (ABA), the leather and suede upper is marked by a blue and red mix to form the 3 Stripes. With such a rich and storied past, Crooked Tongues ran an with Bootsy Harput that covers both past and present sneaker scenary. Available online via Harputs with a price listed at $100 USD.

In April, we showcased the Nike Air Max Light inspired by the famous Negro League Baseball team, Newark Eagles. Keeping the theme alive, two other models have been spotted. Both the Air Stab and Air Max BW receive a gradient treatment and familiar colors throughout, although both of these new sneakers are a bit more colorful than the previously shown model.

Legendary Nike designer, Tinker Hatfield, responsible for the majority of Michael Jordan’s most popular signature sneakers has succeeded throughout the years not only based on immense talent but an extraordinary imagination as well. The original Jordan V design was inspired by the P-51 Mustang, a WWII fighter plane used by the Tuskegee Airmen combined with a rendering of a Grey Nurse Shark on the midsole. Keeping this theme alive, strong military colors are featured included with the addition of shark eyes and the initials MJJ on the side standing for Michael Jeffrey Jordan. Surely to be a collectors item in the future, these are now available at Jordan Flight Club with a price of $175.

New from adidas is the Consortium Causal Series which includes five sneakers, the Bamba, the Samba, the Tobacco, the Forest Hill, and the Jeans. Each pair is special in its own way.
